I am proud to be a Board Member for KALW Public Media, an organization dedicated to amplifying people's voices, capturing the full breadth and beauty of the Bay Area, and inspiring people to take action to support the place they call home.
KALW recently launched a $500,000 campaign to raise money for the People’s Studio, its new home at the Warfield Commons. Moving to the Warfield is a critical step forward in KALW’s ability to make an impact. It will help the organization expand the quality and reach of its nationally-recognized training programs. It will strengthen KALW’s ability to connect audiences to the Bay Area’s creative scene through expanded music programming, arts and culture coverage, and live events. It will be a hub and incubator for new relationships, new voices, and new programs.
A lot of capital campaigns only include people who can make major gifts. But we want to give everyone a chance to be part of this monumental project.
So we're offering a special opportunity for current members, and those who join as a new member. An additional gift of $500 will earn you permanent recongition on a wall of thanks to be installed in the People's Studio. Of course, you can also give more -- see levels below. And gifts of any size are helpful, even if they are below the treshold for recognition.
